"This is number five. Does it feel as sweet as 1, 2, 3 and 4."

Shalini Zabaneh - 1St Place, Women's Cross Country
"All victories are sweet, sweet, sweet."

Patricia Chavarria - 2nd Place, Women's Cross Country
"It feel really great because all the previous races I wasn't doing my best and today I said I am going to put everything out and that's what I did and it feels really good."

Reporter
"You certainly look the superior rider out in the hills from the first attack that you made which separated the peloton. You seem to cause some separation every time you got onto one of the big hills out there and I am sure that that gave you some satisfaction knowing that you were challenging some the bog riders in today's race: Shalini and Kaya. How does it feel to know that you have stepped up your game now and you will from now on be considered one of the favorites in races like this?"

Patricia Chavarria - 2nd Place, Women's Cross Country
"It feels really good, that's all that I can say - I am happy."

Reporter
"The next step, you go from 3rd in 2012 to 2nd in 2014 - there is another step to go on the podium. Do you think that one day you will be able to see that top podium step?"

Patricia Chavarria - 2nd Place, Women's Cross Country
"Yes, I really think so. I am confident enough."

Kaya Cattouse - 3rd Place, Women's Cross Country
"When they came and told us that the gap was coming down 40 plus seconds, we started to pull harder and 3 people running from 4 - the 4 should be closing us quicker - I know it's more fire power coming back there, but we were running from early in the race, about 10 miles into the race we got away and from there we were rotating it steady, everyone was pulling their fair share, so that contributed to the quick finish that we had."

Reporter
"What are your thought about young Patricia Chavarria who really stepped up her game from previous years, this year certainly doesn't resemble what she has been in the past? She is now one of the big players, one of the big challenges to you and Shalini."

Kaya Cattouse - 3rd Place, Women's Cross Country
"Unlike the rest in the fieled I had my eyes on Chavarria. I know that she is one of the best pacers in the field, she is one of the best climbers and I know if she goes down the road and I am not there that is going to go, So I made sure that when because she was the one who moves up 3-sisters - when she moved and I saw Shalini going I made sure that I was there because I know that that was going to stick. When Shalini attacked us and the gap started open Chavarria did the brunt of the work. I just came around to give her a breather, she did most of it and for that I gave her the second place finish. I told her on the road Chav if we come to the tape, the ones in the back doesn't catch us - the second place is yours, you know you are doing most of the work. I can only come around and give you a breather."

It was Shalini Zabaneh's 5th cross country title and she did it in three hours, 12 minutes, 54 seconds.
