He reported to police that Yohnny Rosado and his crew were in the same bar at the same time – and he and Vitalino Jr were trying to leave when Yohnny sent his employee to block them, and then to viciously beat them unconscious. Rosado admits he was there but disputes that story – and he held a press conference with his new attorney Audrey Matura Shepherd to do so today. Tonight, we have both sides of the story, but we begin with an update on Vitalino Jr:…

"The condition of my son is still the same, critical condition. We are just asking the country of Belize, all the persons that knows - that can contribute with prayers that would be what we need right now is a miracle and that's the only thing that I can say because my son is still the same way."

Yohnny Rosado
"I don't have anything to do with that young man. I couldn't believe he is at the hospital in a coma. The last time I saw him was at Long Island and we were there in one corner and he was in the other corner. My workers all surround me and everybody knows me. For some reason my workers like to surround me and they were surrounding me while ordering a round and there were "blip, blop" and when we saw - it happen, if I say 5 seconds I am telling a lie - it happen like 2 seconds and he was on the ground and then some young men that were in the premises ran out and that's about it. I told my guys to keep away from that. I could even go to help because we would incriminate ourselves - we couldn't do anything. It wasn't any of my workers. If it was any of my workers the police would have taken all of us because the security was right there."

"Those guys left and they were conscious and we are calling on the police to also investigate from the minute they went in police custody to the minute they reach the hospital what happened because remember the evidence that we have is that and which these guys saw was that the police took them. One was Reyes - was put to the back of a pick-up truck belonging to police and another was taken in the van that they drove in but the police drove the van. What happen from that point to when he ended up at the hospital we don't know, but the police need to investigate that as well because here we have people who saw these men left conscious and able to walk - staggering but able to walk and then you hear afterwards that they were unconscious."

"Clearly there and then those 3 police officers who responded did their on the spot inquiries, did not see any reason to take them in. As a mater of fact Yhonny Rosado told them if after you all find out everything - you believe that I am involve then take me in. He said that with such confidence because he knew that his employees were not involved and the police did their questioning there and then and then took away these two young men. What happen after they took them in we don't know."

"What's your reaction to their version of events?"

Vitalino Reyes Sr.
"Well I know that it is a lie, its a complete lie because when my son was right there he text me and when he text me the text said that he was surrounded by Yhonny Rosado and his workers and he told me that it was majority of his staff, so when I heard that I told him to just please call police and walk out and that was his decision. They went there and they saw my son and they went to kill him because the damage is there. If it was normal kicking like that in any part of the body, but this is only the head and directly where the weakest part is."

"The only problem was that you weren't there, so its hard for you to say what happen or what did not happen."

Vitalino Reyes Sr.
"That's why the police are investigating right now."

Jules Vasquez
"Are you prepared to accept that maybe your son was inebriated drunk and maybe he got into a dispute with someone else and because Yhonny Rosado and his team were there you say that Yhonny had to set that up."

Vitalino Reyes Sr.
"No. Like I mention again, he was not drunk because when he finish pay my workers at 4:30, he cannot be drunk at 6:15. I know my son very good and he will not get in trouble with anybody else. I would never have said anything like that to me when that happen 'Yhonny Rosado and his crowd is here' - he would never invent something like that. We don't lie. We live our lives with God in our mind. We are humble people, we would never do anything wrong to nobody."

"Its just some phobic that Mr. Vitalino Reyes have that anything that will happen to his child will happen to me."

Vitalino Reyes Sr.
"He could lie here in Belize, in anywhere in the world, here in this life, but when he die he will never lie to God because God knows what happen. God knows that the truth is there. I don't know how he will respond. He has to remember that Kareem Musa will not be there to defend when he has to face God."

Yohnny Rosado
"I will never in their lives say anything negative, even though I went to jail. I say that he will pay some how for what he has done. Life is simple, whatever you do here, you pay here and if there is a heaven or hell you will be still pay up there or down there."

Jules Vasquez
"Do you think your son will make it?"

Vitalino Reyes Sr.
"I believe so that he will make it because miracle exists and majority of the churches countrywide are praying, but I still need more prayers."

"We have them in our prayers and in our heart that this guy pull through because business is business, but that is something completely different."

"I am very sorry for what happen to the young man. I really and truly pray that he makes it - that he come back."

Jules Vasquez
"How do you feel to know that at the press conference this afternoon Yhonny Rosado says that he too is praying for your son's recovery?"

Vitalino Reyes Sr.
"He probably says that just to make everybody feel like he is a good person, but he is not, he is evil."

And if you can't parse truth out of those very divergent accounts, try asking them about where the police investigation is going. Again, they had very different accounts of that as well:..

"I would say that the police has been looking for Yhonny Rosado and his workers and they cannot find him."

"We have been to the station and given our statements freely. No one came for us, no on look for us. We went there and we are trying to help in any manner we can and the officers have our numbers, they have addresses and we also state to them that if we get any further information we will share it with them and if they need us at anytime for questioning they know they can get in contact with Mr. Rosado or any of the guys who went i to give statements that were with us."

"Unfortunately Mrs. Matura just came from the police station where they have the darkest fellow who work with me - try take him out of the hood to come and work and make money. His name is Leon and he is the one that is being held right now. Unfortunately everyone that has a family - the black sheep always tend to pay the penalty and I am very sad because he was not there with me."

And 7news has confirmed that this evening, Leon Gentle, an employee of Yohnny Rosado's cave-tubing.com was charged with the attempted murder of Vitalino Reyes Jr. Police say he has ties to a well known city gang.
