Our colleagues from PGTV are reporting that for the past 3 days villagers of the Boom Creek Road have been cut off and forced to walk 6 Miles to Punta Gorda Town, because their road is currently inaccessible due to a broken Culvert.
As these photographs show, the broken culvert almost covers the width of the road from shoulder to shoulder, which means that vehicles can't pass. There are reports that this road is used heavily for illegal logging, and that one too many big trucks travelling on top of the culvert caused it to give way.
We couldn't reach NEMO or Ministry of Works about this problem that the Boom Creek Villagers are currently facing.
