But, first we go to another murder - one that happened earlier on Saturday - before Jawmeighan was killed. Those with knowledge of the threats Jawmeighan was facing believe that early morning killing could be the source of his retaliatory murder. Yes, it's true, one of Jawmeighan's children had been charged for a sensational murder a few days before he was killed - and that is definitely something that has to be considered. But, the murder of Raheem Crawford - who is affiliated to George Street - 7 hours before Jawmeighan was killed is also significant. Here's the story:..

Just before 4 on Saturday, 21 year-old Raheem Crawford, and his cousin 25 year-old Kevin Faber, were shot at the corner of Gibnut Street.
They were returning home on a motorbike after a night out when a gunman with a cap pulled low over his face, ran out from behind a parked vehicle and fired several shots at them. He then jumped into a waiting vehicle which sped off.

"I ran down the step and I saw my son coming up off the ground to me and said to take him to the hospital because he got shot. Then afterwards I pick him up and send him to pick up the other young man who is my nephew. Then afterwards his brother call for the neighbors."
Both men were injured; Crawford was hit in the lower back, while Faber was shot to the left leg, and to the back of his neck. They were both rushed to the KHMH. Doctors worked on Crawford for almost an hour, but in the end, he succumbed.
While his sudden loss is difficult for his family, they say that there had been attempts made on his life, along with lingering threats against him.

"They wanted to kill him. He had to stay in the yard here because if he goes out they will shoot him."

"I don't know what he was involved in. I know that he wasn't a good person."

"How about any relation to gangs and so?"

"He likes to wear red pants and red shirt."

"Had there been any attempt on his life before?"

"Lots of times."

"But they misses him."

"My son told him that a back vehicle was following them and he told him to go and he was laughing because he was taking it for a joke."
And while his cousin was taking it for joke, Crawford may have known that those who were following them had intentions.
He himself had been caught up with the law. He was charged with a shooting in Ladyville. His family didn't defend him but they say "Bo" - as they called him - had a pleasant personality.

"He had good ways and he likes to laugh and he was friendly. Anytime I see him he would smile. That's all he would do."

"On his birthday, he was 21 on August 6th."
The family told us that they believed Jawmeighan's nephews were involved in Raheem's murder.
Police retrieved Ten 9 millimeter expended shells from the scene.
Police says they are seeking one suspect. Quite incredibly, Police also note that Raheem Crawford was a suspect in the four (4) recent Murders, but due to lack of cooperation from witnesses, no charges could have been filed.
