Tonight, the family of 28 year old taxi driver Yanie Evan Cu are worrying about his condition. They tell the media that he has gotten one surgery but needs another on his hip.
Cu was driving to San Ignacio with his cousin Yolanda Valencia on Saturday morning when Deputy Police Commissioner Mike Segura crashed into him.
Cu's family says that by the time he saw Segura, his Nissan Pathfinder was literally on top of the taxi – and there was nothing he could do to avoid a head on collision.
His cousin died on impact while he suffered multiple fractures.
