Haitians Busted With Bogus Belize Visas
posted (August 20, 2014)

Tonight, 2 Haitian nationals are being held by the Immigration Department after they were busted trying to enter the country with bogus Belizean visas.

32 year-old Donald Gedeon and 38 year-old Choubert Senat arrived at the PGIA yesterday on a flight from El Salvador. When they presented their Immigration documents at the Immigration Desk, the officers noticed that the visas were irregular. Further checks revealed that they were fake, and so both men were charged for attempting to use visas that they were not entitled to.

When they were arraigned before Magistrate Hettie Mae Stewart, both men pleaded guilty and were fined $2,000 to be paid forthwith. After they've paid their fine, or they've served 1 year in prison, if they default, they will be deported.
