Cyclists Pay Respects To Fallen Riders In LA

We all know the cyclist Ernest Jawmaine Meighan was well honoured in his death by Belize's Cycling community - but you may not know that even in Los Angeles where there is a large Belize population, they honored his memory.

On Sunday August 17th, the 45 Mile Memorial Ride was organized by BelCal Cycling Club Vice President Andrew Burgess.

It started and ended in Leimert Park, in Los Angeles, California.

Approximately 30 cyclist (most wearing Black Ribbons) showed up for the ride.

It was dedicated to Jawmain;s memory and two others: Elbert Pope, and Ernest "Dangalang" Thurton.
