In the past three weeks - attorney and PUP politician Arthur Saldivar has become one of the most talked about national figures - and, let's just say, most of those discussions don't center on his positive traits.
And tonight it's gotten even worse - after a video emerged where he's caught in an unfortunate exchange with a managing shareholder of Roberts Grove Resort in Placencia.
The video was captured, allegedly by Boris Mannsfeld last week Saturday, August 30. Saldivar is confronted by Mannsfeld holding a camera, and he let's off a few choice words. He clearly is being baited, but, much to his detriment, he falls for it - and the rest is viral video history after the video was posted on youtube last night. We've had to bleep and blur out a few parts, but here it is:
And that video quickly went viral in the House of Representative today when media workers sent the video to house members. We sent it to John Briceno, and shortly after we saw him and Said Musa hunkered down over the phone watching, and reacting very visibly to what they were looking at.
And while it shouldn't really, the video will likely factor into an ongoing investigation in Saldivar's conduct.
Today we reached Saldivar and attorney, Marcel Cardona, who was present at the time it was taken. They both explained to us that while the video looks damning, it's being taken out of context, because Mannsfeld had been baiting Saldivar for almost an hour. Cardona also explained that this man also got confrontational with him, and so, he took out his phone to capture his behaviour and have it on record.
For background, we should note that Saldivar told us he is the attorney for a shareholder of Robert's Grove who is currently in a dispute with Mannsfield for control of the resort,
