Internal Affairs Investigating Karique Tzul's Allegations Against GSU
posted (September 8, 2014)
Last week, we told you about the allegations which Karique Tzul made against the Gang Suppression Unit. He says that officers from the unit descended on a house on King Street where he was hanging out, and without warning, they started to brutalize him.

It was an outrageous case, where officers allegedly kicked him so hard that he soiled himself. Well, today, when we asked the Deputy officer Commanding Eastern Division about it, he told us that Professional Standards Branch is investigating the allegation:

Sr. Supt. Edward Broaster, 2nd In Command Eastern Division
"Whenever there is allegations of police abuse the professional standard branch is task to carry out investigation and yes there is an investigation being carried out with respect to the 3 officers of the GSU."

Reporter
"Did the officers go at the wrong house and detain the wrong man?"

Sr. Supt. Edward Broaster
"I cannot give you no further information than professional standard branch is investigating the complaint made by Karique Tzul."

Tzul has visited a doctor who says that he was harmed. He now has a bruised rib cage and a sore neck which is in a brace.
