Minister of Works and Transport Rene Montero signed off on another batch of contracts in Belmopan today. The contracts were signed this morning and Works CEO Errol Gentle outlined the upcoming renovation projects across the country:..

"The first contract we will be signing this morning is with Rodla Construction and that's for the paving of 5 miles of the Old Northern. We will then be doing the concreting/paving of Oliva Sentino and Cairo Streets in Punta Gorda with CISCO. The concreting of Ramos Road and a section of the Ecumenical Drive again with CISCO Construction Limited. And then there is some baseline data monitoring equipment and this has to do with the flood mitigation project in Belize City and this will be done with after which we will be signing contracts for both roundabouts in Belize with CISCO Construction Limited and finally the feasibility study for the Punta Gorda Sporting Complex by Mahung and Partners."
The projects cost $9 million in total and are expected to commence later this month and end in 5 months.
