Elderly Man Deported For Immigration Offence
posted (September 11, 2014)
71 year-old American Mohammad Es Sudan, a resident of Atlanta Georgia, was deported today by the Immigration Department, after it was discovered that he had been living illegally in the country for 2 years and 4 months.

On Tuesday, immigration officers went to the airport where Sudan had been detained. When they checked his records, it showed that he travelled to Belize on May 17, 2012, and he was given one month to leave. But, her overstayed up until the time he was detained. When they checked his story, he said he came here to marry a Belizean woman, presumably to get citizenship, but it never happened.

He was then charged with the immigration offence of failing to comply with a visitor's permit, and he was arraigned today before Magistrate Dale Cayetano. He pleaded guilty to the offence, and was fined $1,000 to be paid forthwith. He was able to pay his fine, and by the strength of a deportation order, Immigration Officers escorted Sudan back to the airport this afternoon to be ejected.
