Guatemalan Gang In duck Run? Man Almost Beheaded

A Guatemalan's man past may have caught up with him in the remote village of Duck Run 3 in the Cayo district. On Saturday morning just before sunrise, Cayo police found 24-year-old Pedro Ariel Diaz Guien with his head almost cut off.

Today, Monica Bodden went west to find out what may have led to this gruesome death:..

The decapitated body of 34 year old Pedro Diaz was found on this deserted road in the village of Duck Run 3 early Sunday morning.

"Did he mention to you where he was going?"

"He didn't say anything. A neighbor inform me about the death."

The murder of Diaz has left this small community shaken. Many believe he was killed by Guatemalans who they say traffic the area regularly.

"He never told me that anybody was threatening him."

Diaz is a Guatemalan who had only been living in Duck Run 3 village 2 months BEFORE his death. Many of the villagers believe that his past might have caught up to him since they are alleging that he had involvement with a gang from his home country.

"I am trusting the police that they will do everything to get the people who did this to my son. That was a terrible thing they did to my son. What I know is they took off my son's head and right now they are doing the autopsy."

Diaz leaves behind 4 children.
