Nelson Mandela died last year on December 5th and to mark the impact Madiba had even on Belize, Adele Ramos, Assistant Editor of the Amandala newspaper, opened a condolence book.
Last week, South Africa's High Commissioner in Jamaica, Mathu Joyini was in Belize for the Independence celebrations and Ramos presented the Book of Condolences to her. Joyini said that she would give the book of condolences to the Nelson Mandela Foundation in South Africa.
