Ciego Lost His Pay, Pride and Fried Chicken To Cops, Charged Today
posted (October 1, 2014)

And while he was on the topic of police officers he discussed with us the most recent complaint of police brutality, which emerged our Monday Newscast. The first was 22 year-old Tremane Ciego who says that on Sunday night, he was coming home with his entire week's pay after buying food when 2 police officers stopped and searched him. He claims that it escalated to a police beatdown, where they put him to kneel down, pointed a gun to his head, brutalised him, and kicked him in to the canal. And then to add insult to injury, one of the officers allegedly robbed him of his entire pay and threatened his life.

Well, his allegations proved credible and substantial. Today, ASP Rivero told the media that these officers will be facing both criminal and disciplinary charges:

ASP Glen Rivero - OC, Professional Standard Branch

"The case of Mr. Ciego was also investigated. Those two police officers who came in contact with him have been dealt with disciplinary also, they have been charged. Those officers will also be dealt with criminally. Those officers will be facing the court for what ever injury they caused to him. They are before the police tribunal for offences against discipline."
