At the top of the news, we told you about the rising tensions at the Western Border in the Caracol Archeological Reserve. That's after 40 armed Guatemalans went to Valentin Camp to threaten the Belizeans with arson if they continued to build the Valentin Conservation Outposts. Well, information reaching our newsroom at this time is that another group went back to the camp in the afternoon.
FCD's Executive Director, Rafael Manzanero, was informed that a smaller group of Guatemalans from La Rejoya Village went back. The quickly realized that since the first confrontation this morning, more BDF soldiers had arrived at the Camp, and so they left without incident.
