Man says GSU Commander Crashed Into His Truck
posted (October 7, 2014)
Recently, the GSU Commander, Inspector Mark Flowers, has been in the news where 2 complaints were lodged against him at internal affairs. Tamra McFoy and Allan McCoy both alleged that Inspector Flowers behaved inappropriately.

Well, Joshua Wade, a resident of Ladyville who works in Belize City doesn't have that large a gripe - but says Flowers did do him wrong. He says that he had his pickup parked on Crown Cone Avenue on Thursday night at around 8 p.m. Mark Flowers, who lives right next to his workplace allegedly slammed into it, denting the back of the vehicle.

Wade granted us an interview last week Friday in which he explained the entire situation, but at the end of the evening, he asked us to hold off because Flowers promised to pay him for the damages.

Tonight, we air his story with his consent because Flowers still had not paid him for the damages. Here's what how he described the parking dispute:

Joshua Wade
"I was park by the roadside where I was working and one of my workmen came and tell me that they ran into my truck and when I came out and check it I see that he slammed into my vehicle. He already told me once he see me park there again he will run into me, but right now we are building a drain and putting a culvert by where we are working and I had to park up almost by his house but across the other side of the street and not in front of him and last night he ran into me."

Daniel Ortiz
"Sir, have you had any kind of confrontations with Mr. Flowers about this parking spot issue where he lives?"

Joshua Wade
"At one time when he first came there to live because the other officer who lived there never had a problem with us parking out there. But from since he come there every day he has problem with us, so once I could avoid parking there I move from there, but we couldn't do that yesterday because we were cementing the drain we had to park that side. The Belama police came there to do a statement, but they said that they can't really do anything because he is an officer in command, so I just leave it like that. He told me that he will pay me back, to just go to the body works place and have them give me an estimate how much it will cost and he will compensate me. I don't really want to get into any problem with those guys because I don't want anyone to try and chance me, so I just want him to pay me back and thing done."

Wade says that Flowers owes him $250 for the damages to his vehicle, which he hasn't paid as yet. He also claims that he went to make a formal report, but he had a bit of difficulties getting it filed.
