Corozal police are issuing a warning to residents after a daring burglary and home invasion over the weekend. The thieves got into a home and made off with a substantial trove of items including jewelry. Superintendent Andrew Ramirez told us more:

"The burglary had occurred at a residence here in Corozal Town. The culprit/s actually manage to enter he house with the victim and family inside the house, did what he or they had to do; stealing items totaling to a very handsome figure and these victims were asleep. It is very regretful in relation to how to tend sleep too hard. Again we always venture to people that you must always try get a dog around so that that animal can basically be an alarm to you."
Police have made no arrests but -they have circulated a list of the stolen items to pawn shops.
