These Kids Are The Tops!

Today, the Ministry of Education released the full list of all the students who excelled May-June 2014 CSEC and CAPE Exams.

The most outstanding Belizean student for CAPE 2014 is Paul Sylvester from the St. John's Junior College. He received five grade 1's and one grade 2 while Siian Rancharan, from St. John's College is the most outstanding candidate for the CSEC exam. He received 14 grade 1's and 2 grade 2's. Yan Cattouse of St. John's College came in 2nd for the CSEC exam with 14 grade 1's, 2 grade 2's and 1 grade 3. Also for the CSEC exam Angelica Lopez from St. Catherine Academy will receive the Subject Group Award in Humanities, Simran Hotchandani, also from St. Catherine's academy will receive Subject Group Award in Business Studies while Clint Foreman from Independence High School will receive Subject Group Award in the Sciences and Rick Rhaburn from Edward P. Yorke High School will receive the Subject Group Award in Technical/Vocational. Angela Sun from Corozal Community College will receive first place in Mathematics together with eight other candidates across the Caribbean. Other outstanding performers include Ruvi Bautista from Sacred Heart College who came in first place in Spanish, Karina Habet from St. Catherine Academy who is the top candidate in Electronic Document Preparation and Management throughout the Caribbean and Eli Lisbey from Edward P. Yorke High School who finished first place in Building Technology (Woods) in the region. And finally on the CAPE level, Darinka Muñoz from Corozal Junior College came in first place in Spanish Unit 1 throughout the Caribbean region. An awards ceremony will be held on Wednesday November 26th at 9 am at the Multi-purpose Building in Orange Walk.
