All told it was a deadly 20 hours - in the time between Friday morning's murder and Saturday morning at 1:00 am, 5 men between the ages of 20 and 35 lost their lives: two to murder, three to fatal accidents.
On Friday we told you about the fatal accident at mile 47 on the George Price Highway which killed two men, 20-year-old Orlando Pascascio and 35-year-old Ismael Hoare. They were crushed as their Ford Thunderbird which was headed towards Belmopan collided with a cargo truck at 2:00 pm. The driver of the Madisco truck, Leto Serrano was trapped behind the driver's seat - and had to be cut out. Serrano sustained serious injuries to his lower body and is reported in a serious but stable condition at the

The third victim to a road accident would die less than 12 hours later, at 1:00 am on Saturday morning. 35 year old technician Joseph Eiley - was travelling from Hattieville to Belize City when he lost control of his Isuzu Rodeo between miles nine and ten. Police say he suffered severe head injuries and a broken neck and died on impact. Today his family told us they were too grief stricken to give us an interview.
