And there is another lawman in the news, this one for drug trafficking.
Police made a major drug bust on the Hummingbird highway yesterday evening. According to reports, at about 3:30 yesterday evening police officers
stopped a taxi between mile 17 and 18 on the Hummingbird Highway. When officers searched the vehicle, they found two parcels of cocaine amounting to
2.8 kilos, or about six pounds.
All 4 men :37 year old police Corporal Martin Mas of Belmopan, 27 year old Pedro Sho of Corozal, 41 year old Tom Martinez of Bullet Tree and 38 year
old taxi driver of Belmopan Bernard Che - were all charged for drug trafficking and remanded to the Belize central prison.
