How that Terrible Accident By Jaguar Paw Intersection Happened

Last night, we told you about the fatal traffic accident between mile 36 and 37 which claimed the life of an American National, and put another in the hospital.

What police have been able to piece together so far is that at around 11:30 a.m., 30 year-old Leon Rodriguez, a tour guide who works for Big Johns Taxi and Tour Company was taking tourists 66 year-old Samuel Douglas Schulte, and 56 year-old Teresa Lyn Mauers to Jaguar Paw. When he was approaching the cutoff for Frank's Eddy and was just about to turn left. Rodriguez says a Tow Head loaded with oranges hit him from behind.

The Tow Head overturned on the highway and Rodriguez's Blue Suzuki SUV was crushed. Schulte was suffering from various injuries to his head and body, while In the back seat, 56 year-old Teresa Lyn took the brunt of the impact and was crushed in there Meuers suffered massive head and bodily injuries, and she died while undergoing treatment at the Western Regional Hospital.

The driver Rodriguez complained of pain to the chest, and was treated and released from the Western Regional Hospital. Shulte, was rushed to that hospital, and he was later taken to the KHMH for treatment.

The driver of the orange truck, 20 year-old Miguel Arriaza, of St. Margaret Village in Cayo, and a minor who was in the passenger seat with him were both treated and released for minor injuries.

Police have not indicated if they intend to charge any of the drivers for the accident, but they have said that they continue to investigate.
