A new book that captures the historical development of the twin towns of San Ignacio and Santa Elena was launched today at the Welcome Center in San Ignacio. The book is entitled "A Walk through El Cayo". The 56 page text is a compilation of interviews done with community elders along with archival information about the historical and cultural richness of San Ignacio and Santa Elena. You can get a copy of the book at bookstores in both towns. In a release sent out today by NICH it states " It is hoped that students, educators, tour guides, tourists and the general public will appreciate the narratives and re-discover the secrets and beauty of the Twin Towns".
