Belmopan police have confirmed that attorney Arthur Saldivar will face criminal charges tomorrow. The charges stem from a misunderstanding between Saldivar and the mother of his two sons. The two are separated - and she alleges that Saldivar trespassed on her property today, took her phone and scrolled through her text messages. Police told us that is the report they received and they expect to charge Saldivar for burglary and trespass tomorrow. Saldivar told us the allegation is nonsense and a waste of the court's time. He told us he doesn't see what he can be charged for. He says he was outside the property and did scroll through the phone because his son bought it to him. He says he is concerned for his children's wellbeing - and that is why he checked the phone.
