At the top of the news, we told you about the drowning in Camalote in which the family of victim suspect foul play. Well, there was another drowning, and this one happened in Orange Walk yesterday.
25 year-old Alejandro Aurelio Arjona, a resident of Cancun, Mexico, was found floating in the river in an area near the San Estevan Village Ferry. Police believe that he was under the influence of alcohol, and in that state, he and his cousin went to the river back. His cousin reported that without warning, he jumped into the river. His cousin made sure to retrieve him, but Arjona did it again. He requested that his cousin leave him alone, and only 2 minutes afterwards, he went under. He didn't resurface, and hours later, he was discovered near the ferry. He had drowning.
