Last night we told you about a 38 year old who was remanded for sexually assaulting a 10 year old girl, and tonight the story is about a 26 year-old accused of doing the same to a nine year old girl.
Salvadoran National Daniel Rios, a taxi driver of Starfish Crescent, was arraigned on the charge of unlawful sexual intercourse and harm against of a female child 9 years and 5 months old when he appeared today before the Chief Magistrate, Anne Marie Smith. Due to the nature of the offences, he was remanded into custody until August 5.
The child reported to the police that Rios had sex with her at his home on April 24. The child was taken to the hospital where she was examined by a doctor who classified her injuries as wounding.
