45 year-old Collet Rowland, who has multiple convictions for theft, is at prison tonight after admitting that he tried to steal from a gas station.
It happened on Sunday, May 11, the cashier at Puma Gas Station on New Road saw Rowland stuff eight bottles of lotion in his pocket. Rowland ran, but he was pursued and caught at Cinderella Plaza where the lotion was recovered.
He was charged with theft, and he pleaded guilty to the offence when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann Marie Smith today. He was remanded until tomorrow because he told the Chief Magistrate that he has a substance abuse problem, and that he wants to go to a rehabilitation center.
