Two Americans Killed In Teakettle Home Invasion
posted (May 18, 2015)
But that murder was only the culmination of a violent weekend in the Belmopan area. It started on Friday evening, where there was a double murder in Teakettle Village. The victims are 2 American men who were killed in a home invasion.

It happened at the Estate of American Julian Christopher Jones in the Pineapple Hill area of the village. On Friday at around 5:30, his ex-wife, Laura Jo Lambert, found him dead in one of the buildings on the ground. He had suffered multiple chop wounds to the head. She looked around and found their associate, 61 year-old American retiree Paul David Signorino, who lives on the Valley of Peace Road, also killed. Someone had shot him twice in the left side of the head.

Yesterday, our news team travelled to Teakettle, and we spoke with one the neighbors, who told us that the two men may have been killed as a result of an armed robbery at the estate:

Neighbor
"I don't know much. I just got home on Friday. A little before 7 my little brother was telling me that my neighbor Ms. Laura was looking for me and she look nervous and everything and it was just minutes after that I got a call from my wife's phone and she informed me that her husband and a friend had been brutally murdered at the back there and so it was at the same time I saw Brother Fem and the police just going at the back there and I just went to see what was happening and to comfort Ms. Laura. It appears that they were setup in some sense. I don't know all the details of how it happened, but I am just assuming that it's got to be more than one person. If you knew him, he is a very tall and strong guy and he was always alert. So, it had to have been somebody that he trusted obviously, because of the nature. I don't know if the dogs bark or anything, for them to gain entrance inside to that degree. That's as far as I could say of how that situation probably happened. He was a nice guy, I rarely spoken with him, but the times that I interacted with him, he was always casual, very friendly, cool guy. That's all I knew from him, because he was always back and forth from the US and even Belmopan. He didn't really stayed here so much. Ms. Laura, for a period of time, she lived at the back there by herself and during that time, I would go and check on her to see that everything is fine (she is my neighbor) and we developed a relationship in which when she would sometimes leave and she would tell me she is leaving - so that I would keep an eye on her."

Police have made no arrests.
