"Is it that you are saying that the PUP will not go all out in a bi-election?"

Hon. Francis Fonseca, Opposition Leader
"No, I'm not saying that at all. I am saying that we are going to have a meeting tomorrow of the national executive and the standard bearers. We are in fact today having discussions in Dangriga with our executive committee and through our national campaign manager's office. And that report will be tabled tomorrow - status report if you like and we will have a full open discussion on how we proceed."

"If the PUP were to lose that upcoming bi-election, you will not consider it as a sign that you need to step down?"

Hon. Francis Fonseca, Opposition Leader
"Absolutely not. My party and I have made it absolutely clear that we are committed to winning the next general elections. This country doesn't need a change of seats, it needs a change of government."

Jules Vasquez
"How much do seats matter? This may be or could be the second seat that the PUP could lose. The UDP continues to strengthen the majority it has. Do these seats really matter to you all or is it just well we are Opposition - so any position?"

Hon. Francis Fonseca, Opposition Leader
"No, the seats matter obviously. Every seat matters. If you want to be a government, if you want to be a party that represents people from every constituency, then every constituency matters. But as I said, obviously we recognized and understand that for us what is most important is changing this government. What is most important we believe for this country is changing this national government and won't happen in Dangriga, it won't happen with one seat, it didn't happened with Cayo North."
