Ralston’s Killers Were Robbers

Dangriga Police have charged two men with murder for the death of 51 year-old Ralston Patnett, the retired fire chief who was shot to death and then burnt. Those men are 30 year-old Brandon Mason Kerr, a resident of mile 21 on the George Price Highway, and 32 year-old Lindberg Oxford, who lives on the Commerce Bight Road in Dangriga.

Patnett had been looking after a house on the Commerce Bight Road which belong to his American friend, 68 year-old Edmond Domenic Couch. The place was burglarized, and 12 gauge single action shot gun was stolen.

Patnett was shot and killed with that stolen weapon which they recovered in an abandoned lot in the Commerce Bight Road Area. The officers also found 34 live rounds of twelve-gauge cartridges with the gun.

These two accused men will be arraigned and remanded at the earliest convenience, and after that, they will be remanded at the Belize Central Prison.
