Police Have No Leads In Murder of Journalist
posted (July 7, 2015)
Tonight, police still have no one detained for and no major leads in the murder of Amandala journalist Kareem Clarke. The 27 year old was shot 5 times - twice in the head - as he left a female's home riding early on Sunday night. Clarke had been a journalist for 3 years, known for his relentless work ethic, he had no known gang ties, nor was he connected to the underworld - so, the murder, the very deliberate and cruel nature of it - has baffled friends, colleagues and family. What we do know is that he was in a gang ridden area that had witnessed a senseless murder of a teen two weeks earlier.

Surveillance footage from a private security camera on Vernon Street shows Clarke in his last moments alive, about to approach the bridge when 2 men on bike are ride past the camera. A police mobile is next in the frame, a few minutes behind those 2 persons, and then somewhere out of the frame, Clarke is murdered.
