The 70K Was Stolen From The Taiwanese Embassy
posted (July 7, 2015)
Last night we told you about the dramatic heist in front of the Belize Bank in downtown Belize City. Today police confirmed that seventy thousand dollars in cash was stripped from an employee of the Taiwanese Embassy as he walked out of the bank at around 3:30 pm.

The embassy driver told police he went to the bank to do his regular deposits and withdrawal for the Embassy, but as he was about to leave the bank parking area, a man strode up, put a gun in his face and demanded the money. He handed over a manila envelope containing $70,000.00 dollars in cash. After this very brazen, very lucrative, broad daylight heist, the man then got on a bicycle that he had parked nearby and rode off into the flow of traffic.

Police have made no arrests so far.
