And as a reward for his strong showing, it was announced today that Mena will be made Minister of State in the Ministry of National Security. He will be sworn in as a member of Cabinet by the Governor General tomorrow.
And while he's going to Belmopan, last night in Dangriga at around 9:00 when the result was official, he said it's all about keeping close to his hometown:..

At the end of the day as I said my neighbor is a member of the United Democratic Party, I am a member of the People's United Party - that doesn't mean we lose respect for each other. Tomorrow we just rise again as Dangrigana or as citizens of Hope Creek and Sarawee."
