Police reports are that on, Saturday, July 18, they allegedly broke into the home of Mindy Pratt, located at mile 2 and a half on the Western Highway. They reportedly stole one television set. According to police, when they arrived at the scene they saw the defendants coming out of the house.

When they searched the immediate area around the house, they found the TV in the bushes nearby. All 3 teenagers were arraigned before the Chief Magistrate, Ann Marie Smith, where they pleaded not guilty.

But their defense, Garnett told the court quite a different story; she said that she went to the house to search for a relative who had gone missing. She says that when the police arrived one of the officers took her upstairs and sexually assaulted her and wanted to have sex with her. Her allegation is being followed up on.
