The National Song Competition: it's the event that marks the beginning of the September celebrations and gets everybody in the mood for Carnival and the calendar of events throughout the month. Well, the competition is set for the 14th of this month and the 18 finalists are preparing to take the stage. Today we spoke with the Communications Officer for NICH, Shari Willaims and she told us why it's important to have this competition every year and what you can expect on the 14th.
There are two main categories in the competition: The Belize Song and Carnival Song. To vote for your favorite song you can go to the website mynationalsong.bz. All the songs have been uploaded so you can listen and click to vote.
