Did Y.E.S. Make At Risk Youths Say N-O?

Another initiative that the US Embassy's CARSI program has been funding for the last 3 years is the Youth Enhancement Services training program for about 500 at risk youths and 80 adults who are struggling parents.

The US Embassy has donated $187,100 US to this program to help enhance the community policing that the police department does. With this money, the Youth Enhancement Services has focused on strengthening the family support system for at-risk youths, increasing their economic opportunities, and providing social alternatives to gang membership.

So, this morning after 3 years, the Youth Enhancement Services held its graduation ceremony for those who've passed through. We talked with the director about how the program went:

The program was a collaboration between between the Youth Enhancement Services, the US Embassy, and the Police Department.
