There was a scarcity of Belikin Beer this weekend and Bowen and Bowen says it's because they had an equipment failure. The bottler of Belikin Beer, Belikin Stout, Belikin Premium, Lighthouse, and Guinness say they are upgrading to, quote, "meet the increasing demand" for these products.
But, progress brings problems, it seems, and they say, quote, "over the weekend we encountered an unexpected equipment failure in a crucial area of Belize Brewing's bottling line." The company says it is quote, "working around the clock to fix it" and expects normal production capacity to be restored by Tuesday the 25th. Until then - and probably for some time after, Belikin, Lighthouse and Guinness will be scarce.
