There will be a new Director of Health Services. After 7 years in the job, we are told that Dr. Michael Pitts is moving on. We don't know the terms of his departure, but we do know that Dr. Ramon Figueroa will be replacing him. Dr. Figueroa was formerly the Director of the Planning and Policy Management Unit. The transition is expected to happen before the end of this week.

Pitts had an adversarial relationship with CEO in the Ministry, Dr. Peter Allen – which went on for years. His departure is seen as CEO Allen eventually winning out in the power struggle.
