Since last week Friday, we've been telling you about the dispute between the teachers and parents of Faith Nazarene Primary School and the current principal, Policarpia Pech. They want her removed, and they have a long list of reasons why they say that they've lost confidence in her ability to manage the school properly. Well, since speaking with Love News during last weekend, she's gone on the offensive, ATTACKING the Management, making it clear that she will not be removed without a fight.
In her interview with Love FM, Pech characterized the complaints against her as "fabricated lies, hearsay and mischief". She's also instructed her attorney to sue anyone who tries to repeat them. Today, 7News received a copy of a letter today in which her lawyer, Michel Chebat, writes to General Manager Raymond Shepherd, warning him that she will sue him and the Nazarene Management.
In the letter, Chebat notes that in May of this year, Shepherd and the Nazarene Primary School management allegedly, quote, "…embarked on a personal attack on… Pech", end quote. According to Chebat, Shepherd and the School's management have reportedly failed to produce any evidence to the "false accusations" that they brought against her.
Chebat says, quote, "Your attempt to unilaterally remove her as principal of the school is unlawful and will be challenged." End quote.
Chebat ends by declaring that Shepherd and the Nazarene Management will be sued for his comments to 7News, which he made last week Friday.
We note, once again, that Policarpia Pech will report to work where there is considerable hostility coming from the teachers who, we are told, don't want to work with her. Only the teaching service's commission can remove her and they have a report from the Nazarene Management before them on which they must decide if she is to go or if she must stay. As Acting Local Manager, Raymond Shepherd has been overseeing the day to day management of the school since Tuesday when classes resumed, and he will be there for Monday when Pech shows up. We note that the Local Manager outranks the principal in the administration of the school.
