And another person in the deep stages of preparation for Carnival is Marsha Smith. Every year, she cooks the mud which will be smothered on the bodies of revelers before the break of dawn on carnival day when swarms of city residents frolic through the streets –bathed in mud. And while J'ouvert is fun, Smith who has been doing her mud factory for 12 years now says it's also a lot of work:
