Hope For Compromise Dashed At Faith Nazarene?
posted (September 22, 2015)
Hope for a resolution to a three-week long standoff has been dashed at Faith Nazarene Primary School in San Ignacio. That's after the Teaching Services Commission rejected both compromise proposals put forward by Principal Policarpia Pech. To defuse the standoff between parents and teacher unified against her, she had proposed to go on long leave and to get a transfer. She put in the applications but the news coming to the school today is that both were rejected by the Teaching Services Commission.

So, that puts the situation back to square one and General Manager Raymond Sheppard had to break the news to the Parent Teachers Association today. Now, with Principal Pech not having anywhere to go, he confessed that fears another cycle of parent led protest may begin. Encouragingly, more than 300 of the 400 registered students showed up for school today, while last week, fewer than half were showing up.
