And focusing on what needs to be done to provide better health care for patients, CEO Allen told us about the EU grant that will be used to build a new energy efficient hospital for the Western Region.

"The budget is never enough I would suggest and so our role has been principally to support the initial efforts. I know that there have been ongoing with all of these different efforts, but I am not sure exactly what the current is in terms of what they spent. But I know is that the recommendations from the technical body and the recommendations from the administration and management of the facility is that really the building is old and dilapidated. I'm sure it's older than you, but perhaps not as old as me. But certainly it's been there a for a long time and it needs replacing and that's why we have been working so hard with the European Union and you know we have to thank the Minister and the Prime Minister for pushing so hard for us to win that grant of 30 million dollars from the European Union under the 11th European Development Fund, to construct what will be an essentially a new hospital."
Allen told us that before any construction work can start, public consultations need to be held, and those should start before the end of the year.
