Five Ejected From Crashed Vehicle, No Fatal Injury
posted (November 2, 2015)
There was a serious accident at mile 25 on the Western Highway yesterday and fortunately, no one was seriously hurt. It happened at around 1:30 at mile 25 where a GMC Yukon had a blowout and careened off the road. Five adults and a girl were inside, and 4 of the adults and the girl were flung from the vehicle as it tumbled down the embankment. Only the driver – reported to us to be on Earl Pitts managed to stay inside the vehicle. There were multiple injuries, but luckily none fatal. It is presumed that those who were flung out were not wearing seatbelts. The accident caused the road to be closed for 45 minutes.
