So, once again, the Meighan brothers, Tyrone and Ellis Jr., are in the crosshairs of law enforcement. Tyrone is accused of being one of the 8 armed thieves who stormed into the Lebanese Diplomat's Burrell Boom Home. He's also accused of raping a female victim who was tied up.
Later on, we'll tell you how exactly Ellis Meighan Jr. is being tied to this crime, but first, his mother, Shelly, says that police have it all wrong with Tyrone.
He and Brandon Baptist have only been out of prison for about 1 and a half months after spending 3 years on remand for a murder charge that they beat at the end of October. His mother is anxious to see him free from prison, and she's convinced that the police are tying him up in this crime out of malice. She also says that she has witnesses and police officers - who watch her home daily - who could vouch that Tyrone was at home until very late on Thursday night when this home invasion happened. Today, she made an impassioned plea for help from the powers that be to reverse the criminal charges against her son:

"I came on the media because I know they are chancing my son. They charged my son for rape. Tyrone Meighan begged them to take a specimen for hair and sample. They did all the rest of guys and they would not take from the specimen and hair sample from Tyrone. But they took from the rest of the guys. I took this off the internet: This say 8 dark skinned mask men. How my son who is red got into this? I have 3 red sons and only Tyrone they took to Ladyville and they charged him. The GSU came there on Thursday night and they searched all of them in the yard minutes to 8 at night. Two walking police stayed in front of my house 24 hours and more. Tyrone bought them 2 sodas that same night. Tyrone came out the house minutes at 9 and bought them 2 sodas. I am asking Mr. Chester to please find out who the 2 officers are. My son was at home. I need someone to help me, because they are chancing my son. This is one time he was innocently at home. I have persons who were there with me home and who can say that he was there. I could called the GSU's names who came and searched that night and Tyrone was at home that same night. They really is chancing him. Just to take him off the streets - what is the purpose? And they are telling a lie, because they didn't do any specimen, they didn't do any hair test - they didn't do anything. They did test of all the other guys."
"I don't care what people say about the Meighan's. This is one time they are accusing wrongfully. My son is not involved on this. Those are high people. You what it is to rape somebody? I have one daughter. My sons are bad boys like that, but not to rape anyone. Those are serious charges, serious allegations to stain my son's name and the police know. They know what they are doing and I am on the media today and I want you to put all of this on the media, because I am begging for someone to help me, because I need help in this. They are chancing my son. I have proof that he was home that night - I have proof. I have police who saw him home. GSU came there and they didn't find anything at my house. How did he got mixed up in this?"
Today in our press conference with the police high command from Ladyville, we asked them about the accusation from Shelly Meighan that they are refusing to accept specimen from Tyrone which could exonerate him. They refuted that, and explained why they intended to charge his brother Ellis Meighan for causing public terror:

Late this evening, the Meighan family contacted us that told us that police have released Ellis Meighan without charging him for the public terror offence. He and his younger brother, Shaquille, who was also released this evening, were picked up by police on Saturday.
