Today is Civil Aviation Day and a wreath laying ceremony was held at the Belize Municipal Airport to honor those fallen pilots. The airport team and families of these pilots attended. We spoke with the families of 2 fallen pilots - Nigel Flowers and Sir Barry Bowen. They told us why it's important to remember their passion for flying and how they contributed to society.
Garbutt told us that the purpose of this event it to remember these pilots but also to acknowledge the sacrifice it takes to be a pilot.
