Another Blow For Faith Nazarene
posted (December 22, 2015)
It's been a tough year for Faith Nazarene Primary School in San Ignacio. The school year started late because teachers and parents were in open rebellion against the Principals - and now, someone made it even worse by raiding the school and stealing all their high tech gadgets. On Monday night, someone burglarized Faith Nazarene by breaking in through the door of the principal's office. That's where they scooped up 27 Galaxy tablets and 2 speakers. It's a terrible loss to the school according to General Manager Raymond Shepherd. The tablets, which were donated by the rotary club from Tabasco Canada a few years ago, were used by the students daily during computer classes. No one has been arrested for the burglary but we understand that one suspect is being sought.

And it's not the first time; earlier this year, around the summer break, the school was burglarized and that's when the first set of tablets were stolen. Then, not more than two months ago they broke into the principal's office again and stole her laptop. These successive cases of theft, have led the school management to conclude that the perpetrators know the school very well.

Now, school management has decided to beef up its security system. In the meantime the public is being advised not to purchase any of the stolen items and to report any information that might lead to an arrest.
