Diverse Christmas Party
posted (December 22, 2015)
The young, the old, and the differently abled, were hosted at a two hour Christmas party held today at the Mental Health Welcome Center in Belize City. The event was hosted by the Belize Assembly for Persons with Diverse Abilities and it catered to 150 people. This event is one of the many initiatives being headed by the new board of BAPDA since being elected into office in November earlier this year. Eva Middleton one of the volunteer managers spoke to us about the importance of hosting such an event.

One of the primary projects on their agenda for next year according to Marin is to increase their lobbying efforts to get the government to pass more stringent laws to protect the rights of people with disabilities.
