23 year-old Deondre McKoy was acquitted of attempted murder today before Justice Troadio Gonzalez in a trial without jury. IN the end, the testimony of his accuser was not enough to convince the judge.

23 year-old Alexis Cu told the court that in September of 2012 he was walking on William Street at around 8 p.m. when McKoy rode up and shot him several times in the abdomen, lower back, and left hand.

After considering all the evidence, Justice Gonzalez ruled that he was innocent, and acquitted him of attempted murder, dangerous harm, and use of deadly means of harm. He still has another attempted murder case for which trial is pending.
