A $21,000 boat engine was stolen from the Alfonso Young Boat Yard on North Front Street. The 72 year old security guard Delvie Gavilan reported to police that yesterday morning at around 1:00, 2 men with shirts covering their faces held him up at gunpoint, and told him to stay seated, as one of the men stole a 75 horsepower Yamaha outboard engine which was mounted on a 25 foot skiff in the yard. The engine is valued at $21,890. Police have one man detained for this robbery. The engine belongs to the Belize Audubon Society.
