The public and politicians may complain about those traffic checkpoints that slow down traffic, but they have a knack of producing good sized weed busts. Yesterday morning, the Mobile Interdiction Team set up a checkpoint at mile 37 on the Hummingbird. They searched a James Bus and found a big bag stuffed with many smaller bags of weed. All totaled, it weighed in at almost ten pounds of weed. No one claimed the bag and it had no name, so it was labeled as fund property.
