Cops Confirm 93 Year Old Was Not Sexually Assaulted
posted (December 30, 2015)

For the past two nights – we've been reporting on the condition of Patrick Grant, the 93 year old victim of a home invasion. The Fern Lane resident was very badly beaten – but what's even more disturbing is the suggestion that he may have also been sexually assaulted. Today, Commander of the Eastern Division Southside Chester Williams answered that question definitively – when he told us the nature of the attack incensed him:..

Sr. Supt. Chester Williams - OC, Eastern Division Southside

"When I was briefed about the incident, I think Monday morning; it brought cold seed to me. To see that some living being have the courage to inflict such injuries on such an elderly person; I don't understand or I do not see what Mr. Grant could do to somebody, a young man for him to be able to conflict the level of injuries that was inflicted on him. I must first and foremost say my sympathy to the family of Mr. Grant. From what our investigation has been showing, we know that there has been a lot in the media to suggest that Mr. Grant may have been sexually molested but I can categorically state that we had requested the doctor to conduct an examination to verify whether or not that in fact happened. The doctor has certified and informed us that there is no evidence of the fact of him being sexually molested. So I am happy to know that has been dispelled from medical examination. I believe that the only reason why the perpetrators of that crime could have injured Mr. Grant the way they did, I think they would have wanted to kill him to silence him."

"Sir now will you all depend on a statement from Mr. Grant to put him at that scene in that house?"

Sr. Supt. Chester Williams - OC, Eastern Division Southside

"Well most naturally yes we are hoping and praying that Mr. Grant have a fully recovery and I ask the nation to join in prayers for him to ask god for a quick and speedy recovery. That way we can get his side of the story."

And so how is Grant doing? Well, the 93 year old is reported to be making slow but steady recovery at a private hospital. Yesterday we told you that Grant, after arriving at the hospital unconscious and bleeding on Sunday, began to mumble for the first time. Today family members told us he is speaking a little more coherently and believe that it is only a matter of time before he is able to sit up again.

As we reported, his neighbor, 35 year old Chester Norales has been charged for Dangerous Harm and Burglary, and he has been remanded.
